Through its Starters Corner, the University of Liège actively supports the entrepreneurial spirit. A variety of programs, statuses and support are offered to students and PhD students who wish to transform their ideas into concrete projects.

D

s of the start of the 2025 academic year, interested students and doctoral candidates will benefit from personalized advice to help them launch their entrepreneurial ventures. A "Starters Corner" will welcome them throughout the year, while a mobile counter will travel directly to the various Faculties.

Supported by the Wallonie Entreprendre initiative, the ULiège Starters Corner aims first and foremost to inform members of the student community about existing opportunities, ranging from master's degree courses to financial support and student entrepreneur status. It will also be used to assess the level of maturity of a project, and to provide the best possible guidance to the person carrying it out.

Master HEC Liège Entrepreneurs  

This 60-credit, one-year program is designed for graduates wishing to develop in-depth entrepreneurial skills. It combines theoretical courses with in-company assignments, personal projects and cross-disciplinary missions, offering a complete immersion in the world of entrepreneurship.

Master Erasmus Mundus EMMIE  

The EMMIE (Erasmus Mundus in Impact Entrepreneurship) program is a 90-credit, 18-month joint master's degree organized by three European universities: Zagreb, Vilnius and Liège. It offers specialized training in impact entrepreneurship, aimed at training entrepreneurs capable of designing and developing projects with a positive impact on society, the environment and the economy.

Designed for doctoral students and university researchers, this program aims to explore the commercial potential of academic research. It provides essential entrepreneurial skills for those consideringcommercializing their research work, notably through the creation of spin-offs.

Coaching

VentureLab  

As an incubator dedicated to students and recent graduates of higher education institutions in the Liège-Luxembourg provinces, VentureLab offers a comprehensive support system. It offers personalized guidance, training, workshops and access to a network of experts to help young entrepreneurs develop and realize their projects

Financial support

Boost Fund  

Launched in September 2017, this investment fund aims to provide financial support for startup projects led by members of the university community. It thus facilitates the transition from idea to business creation by offering financial resources to young entrepreneurs.
