The game is time-consuming!
| It's so hard to stop playing! No matter how much you tell yourself that you've got something else to do, that you'll be tired tomorrow, that you should be working... There's that level you've got to get through at all costs, or one last battle to fight, just one last adventure to finish... It's all so much more exciting than going to bed or revising your lessons! Sometimes it takes a hell of a lot of willpower to put an end to the game! But if you're no longer able to keep up with morning classes, if you're no longer able to work normally, if your studies are no longer a priority in your schedule, it's time to ask yourself some questions about your goals. Do you still have your academic and professional goals in mind? Set yourself limits and force yourself to stick to them. Don't hesitate to diversify the methods you use to meet them. If you know that the game, once started, is likely to last longer than expected, try to reserve it for weekends and vacations... and don't start playing until after you've finished work and had your meal! Don't feel up to such resolutions? If the game is taking up all your time, if you're constantly thinking about this adventure, if you're forgetting your usual activities, if nothing else matters anymore, maybe you've gone over the limit... Don't hesitate, get help from those around you or from competent people. |
