Shisha, hookah, water pipe

Whatever the name (and how it's spelt), chicha consists of a bowl (sleeve) pierced with holes, containing improved tobacco, on top of which charcoal has been placed. This bowl is located at the upper end of a long vertical tube (pipe) that plunges into a reservoir half-filled with water. From the upper part of this reservoir, which is not immersed in water, a flexible pipe extends, ending in a mouthpiece through which the smoke is drawn.
Sitting in a circle, smokers pass the mouthpiece from one to the other, a risky practice in itself, since it can encourage the transmission of many microbes.
Shisha smoking is a social practice in the Middle East. Back home, it's teenagers and young adults who are most interested in this new craze. Most of them believe that there is no danger ..
