Diseases transmitted by chicha

The conviviality of chicha should not obscure the fact that there are risks of infection linked to the transmission of the mouthpiece from one mouth to another. One smoker's germs are deposited in the mouthpiece, transmitting them to the whole circle of friends. Benign diseases are spread in this way, as are more worrying ones such as herpes, hepatitis, tuberculosis and so on.

To reduce this type of risk, each person should keep his or her own mouthpiece and not use another's.
