Mémoires We generally tend to define our memory as being almost exclusively visual, auditory or other. But we all have multiple memory systems, so let's make the most of them ! Our sense organs each have their own memory system (visual, auditory, kinaesthetic...). Our hemispheres work in complementary ways, one more receptive to words (verbal memory), the other more receptive to images (iconic memory). Other memories also come into play when we experience events that strike us (episodic memory) or to process information unrelated to particular circumstances (semantic memory, e.g. knowledge of the names of the week). Using these different memories in a parallel rather than exclusive way will enable you to make the most of this natural wealth !
