Getting organized to avoid stress
A work schedule, defining precise tasks to be accomplished and deadlines to be met, makes it easier to get down to work and ensures greater efficiency. Of course, the degree of precision of the work to be done and the way in which the time available is divided up will differ from one person to another. In all cases, however, setting yourself a rhythm and sticking to it helps you to be more efficient and focused on the task in hand.
| The pace and schedule of your work must be realistically thought out and worked out, in full knowledge of yourself, your objectives and the time you have available. Without a clear head, you risk not being able to stick to your work plan, with multiple consequences such as feelings of stress, anxiety and/or guilt, and finding yourself completely "disorganized", even overwhelmed by all the tasks to be managed. Choosing a priori, "serenely", the periods when a given activity will be more profitable or when a break will be welcome, deciding whether a given subject will be covered in a single session or spread over several days... are essential skills, since the student retains control over his work and his time by making decisions with hindsight and not in a hurry. So, making decisions and sticking to them are two behaviors that improve self-confidence and lead to better management of stress, which then becomes more positive than negative, thus promoting efficient work. |
